Youth Resources

Videos, Worksheets and More

Here are some of the things we've been watching, making, reading and doing in our Sunday Bible study sessions, as well as some other links and things you'll probably find useful.

What's with the T-shirts?t shirt floor

When we got involved in the AYM Fanatics Soccer Cup, we decided we needed to made a splash. Our personalised hot pink shirts did make quite an impression, even if our soccer did not. (The full, sad story can be found on our recent activities page)

Our t-shirts are a uniform of sorts, and we're proud to wear them and proud to say, 'We are Youth United!' We crack them out for special occasions when we want to represent our youth club and look awesome doing so.

Order a Shirt

If you're interested in coming along to our sessions, or have already been to a couple, you might consider ordering a shirt for yourself. Just drop an email to amy_20_20@hotmail.com telling her the following things:

  • Size: S/M/L/XL
  • The name you want printed on the back
  • The number you want printed on the back: 1-99

They are free to members of the youth club.

Passover Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

cookies

The recipe for these delicious flourless cookies we sold on our stall at the October 2011 fair. We made them to better understand the use of kosher food at the Jewish festival of Passover, and what it means to the story of Moses.

1 cup smooth peanut butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Beat together all the ingredients until smooth, adding the chocolate chips after everything else is mixed.
3. Drop tablespoons of the mixture onto your prepared baking tray.  Slightly flatten with a moistened fingertip.
4. Bake for 10-13 minutes, until golden brown at the edges.
5. Cool your cookies on the pan to allow them to harden, before putting them on a wire rack to finish cooling.

Warning! Recipe very definitely contains peanuts!

The Burning Bush. How do I know what God wants of me?

When you're young, having a whole life undecided ahead of you can be daunting. Does God ever reach down and direct our life, or tell us what we should be doing? How do we know when God is telling us to give something a try?

In our Sunday sessions some of us have used the following worksheet to examine the choices we want to make and how to listen to God's instructions.

Finding My Path.doc

Moses was given very clear instructions as to his path in life. A burning bush isn't very subtle! Consider this video about bushes and signs. Do you agree with what is being said?

General Teen and Youth Resources and Links

Being young can suck sometimes. When times are hard it can feel like no one is helping us and no one is ready to listen to us.
