What have we been up to?

St. Paul's Monster Fair
We ran a table at the October Fair, selling fizzy pop and jars of candy in a sort of tombola system. We also sold our delicious peanut-butter cookies and bubble-blowers, and ran a Guess-the-Lollies-in-the-Jar competition.
It has to be said, we didn't make much money, but we did have an awful lot of fun. We blew a lot of bubbles, ate a lot of candy, bought several silly things off the toy stall and wore our pink shirts with pride. We did look awesome, so it wasn't hard.

Movie Night
We watched Tomorrow When the War Began and ate tortillas. We all agreed it was an exciting film, but very silly. The tortillas were considered a success, especially by David, who took the whole packet home.

Games Night with SPY
We hung out with St. Peter's Takapuna youth club for games of pool and twenty questions. We won the pool - thanks to Nick - but the less said about twenty questions the better.

Fanatics' Cup Soccer Tournament
Come on the mighty pinks! For our first outing with our lovely pink shirts, we rocked up the AYM Soccer tournament against teams from all over Auckland. Despite our best efforts and our heroic good cheer, we dropped out at the group stage with one win to two losses. We looked amazing but even our hot pink awesomeness couldn't deter opponents twice our size.
We'll be back, Fanatics' Cup!
Any Suggestions?
Do you have any cool ideas for things we could be doing in Youth United? Is there an upcoming youth event you'd like us to be part of?
Any suggestions, ideas and thoughts can be emailed to our youth worker Amy at amy_20_20@hotmail.com. It's her job to come up with the programme, so she wants to know if she's missing anything important.
