Our Sister Church

St. Mary the Virgin at Ringmer, East Sussex, England

Robin Norris is a well known Parishioner both here at St. Paul's by the sea in Milford and at St. Mary the Virgin at Ringmer in East Sussex, England. He spends parts of each year in both Parishes. Robin sought and was granted approval from the members of both Churches to start having a special close friendship and Sister Relationship between the members of each of these two Parish Churches. This is a wonderful opportunity for both congregations to share information between them.

These two Churches are obviously situated on opposite sides of the world. When our Church is celebrating Christmas we have hot and often humid conditions, but in their Church they usually have snow falling on the ground. In the middle of June they have hot weather and although we don't have snow it gets quite cold and we have lots of rain. Over a period of time we will both be able to find out a lot about the way each of us do things, as well as what is happening in our local communities.

We each live in two entirely different environments and it will be lots of fun to compare the many things that happen in our lives. There will always be a big and warm welcome if a member of one congregation travels and visits the other.

Over a period of time there will be a flow of information between us and we will both be richer for this continuing friendship.
